  • Matt Piper — Program Director, Renaissance Ranch

    Matt Piper, ASUDC

    Program Director

Matt Piper is in long-term recovery. His journey toward sobriety began in 2003, involuntarily, thanks to the Davis County justice system. Over the next decade, he experienced periods of sobriety followed by chronic relapses. In April 2013, Matt entered treatment for the third and final time, and he has remained sober ever since. Reflecting on his journey, Matt shares, “After ten years of struggling, it finally clicked.” Matt attributes his recovery to the unwavering support of his family, the guidance of dedicated counselors and therapists, the principles of the 12 Steps, and his Higher Power, which led to the spiritual awakening he had long sought. Today, Matt serves as a Certified Advanced Substance Abuse Counselor, working with men in a residential treatment program. He also leads a weekly residential family group focused on education and encouraging family members to pursue their own path of healing and recovery.
