The potential client will be fully screened either in person or by phone and the assessment will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Part of the assessment process includes doing a complete history ranging from types of substance use, frequency of use, and length of use.

We also discuss the impact the potential client’s substance abuse has had on family, social, employment, legal, psychological, housing, transportation and spiritual aspects of their life. Each of these areas are part of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria and are evaluated by our clinical staff to determine appropriate level of care as well as a DSM IV diagnosis (Diagnosis and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders).
