It's all worth it....because today I'm sober
hello, i am so exited about this website... it is so easy for us to get disconnected once we get out of the ranch and begin to move on with our lives. this will be a great way for us all to stay in touch. A few days ago i realized just how truly powerless i am over this disease. I have felt powerless over this disease since day one of this whole recovery process. But a few days ago i truly got quite the awakening of how powerless i actually am. I was trying a new way of praying where i prayed for only others and tried to forget about myself, after doing this for about five days i began to feel like my one on one connection with god was beginning to feel less and less. And it was then i realized how truly powerless i am... i dont even know how to pray for hell sakes. I truly cant do anything with putting god in the situation first. when i was in the ranch it was so easy to feel that one on one connection with him. I have never in my life had such peace of mind as i did in there. Know i am finding that i have to work so much harder to even feel a third of that. but its all worth it because today im sober comin up on five months the 28th... and im happy which is truly what i strive for, I just want to honestly be happy. so i love you guys. hope all is well... call me anytime 208-360-1409

Hey golfin buddy!
This is El Conquistador. Also known as Dave P. I am glad to hear you are still sober and doing well. this is pretty cool that we have a new tool for recovery. Sometimes phone calls are not all you need. So what are you up to? What are you doing for work and stuff. I will be cruising up to the meeting wednesday, hope to see you there. One thing that has really helped keep my mind on recovery lately is the Narcotics Anonymous literature.  Their big book and there 12/12. try and get a hold of them., they are great! Keep on keepin' on!

Re: Hey golfin buddy!
whats up dave? yeah man i remeber golfing, i had only been in the ranch for like four days. That was really fun though, i remember how bein with you on that day gave me so much hope, that here was sombody that not that long ago was right where I am, and he's doin it. He's staying sober. I really appreciated your words of encouragement that day. But yeah im still sober, five months and one day now and im really exited about that, i havent been sober this long since i was like 12 years old. I'll be at the meeting as well so ill see you there, i wanna find out how i can find that other big book and twelve by twelve. see ya tommorrow bro.

Dan and Mitch and Shakes!
Good job on the stayin sober thing everybody. Don't let anyone ever tell you that it isn't worth it. I had something come up that kept me from hitting the meeting last week, but I will be there for sure tomorrow. I hope all is well with the inpatient boys, it sounds like all us outpatient boys need to do is follow Shakes example. He is like the recovery king! I am so grateful for the Ranch and the life that was restored to me through the principals I was taught. I can't imagine how sad I would be right now if I had not had found help. Lets get this alumni chat thing rockin! Make it a goal to tell everyone about it! Love you boys! and love the owners and administrators!
